ABOUT
A local Coronado Artist, Mary Hale, is a native Californian. She has been painting since the early 80’s and starting teaching art in her home studio in the late 90’s after years of taking private painting lessons and attending art classes at her local colleges: Mt San Antonio College in Walnut and Cal Poly Pomona.
She has been published in several art magazines both locally and internationally. Most recently, she made front page news in "Coronado News" publication highlighting her life's art journey. This was just prior to her upcoming exhibition in Coronado Public Library.
She has a laid-back style you can see in her oil on canvas paintings-especially her Plein Air works. (Painted outside from life).
Her detail on fine porcelain is intense and it requires patience and several fires in a kiln to achieve the depth. She is passionate about all subjects be it landscapes, florals, portraits or animals.
She gladly accepts commission works and teaches classes weekly. See her teaching tab for more information.
